    What a great class. Garrett is a great instructor, personable and offers hands on help with form and technique. Very motivating and an overall good workout. I never thought I’d get this much from rowing but he mixes it up well bw rowing, weights and other exercises. Highly recommend his class if you want to get a good cardio workout in.

    Great workout. Small class because it was 8:30pm which was nice. Tom has a rowing background, which I think really makes a difference for coaching. The instructors without rowing backgrounds can lead good classes but don’t always have as good form or know how to correct things.

    I’ve taken other barre classes but this was my first at Bar Method. It was tough! The instructor was really nice and encouraging with lots of hands-on corrections. The only issue I had was that many of the moves were described verbally but not demonstrated, so could be a little confusing for a newbie. Otherwise great.

    Great class. Wasn’t a fan the first time I attended his class bc I didn’t sweat enough, but I def sweat a ton today. I wasn’t a fan of the arm workout though. It lasted about 90 seconds and was primarily push ups against the back, which didn’t work out anything. I’d much rather the studio stop providing those single one time use plastic water bottles that are HORRIBLE for the environment and buy light weights to prop on every bike so we can do a real arm workout.

    I love this class! Gretchen is a great instructor and it really keeps your heart rate going. My only complaint is that I wish Row House offered this class more often — I can rarely get out of work early enough for a 5:30 class.
