    Was my first time here, and I really liked it! Great instructor, good energy and beat drops synced with pushes. It’s similar to Barry’s in how it’s formatted, but the technology is more advanced (displays exercises & timer on screen and fancier treadmill). I would say Barry’s has a better strength component though, but overall would recommend this class!

(I’ve taken classes with most instructors and think Dale, Eric and Renee are all super great about that!)     SESSION is my all-time favorite workout on ClassPass. If you like structured strength circuits with small bursts of cardio, then this is the class for you. They start the class with a very intentional 3-minute dynamic workout designed to prep exactly the muscles you’ll use later in the workout, then pause briefly for a thorough explainer of every circuit. The strength exercises are strategically designed for anyone, beginner or bodybuilder, so you can add weight, incline further, or progressively overload. It’s such a friendly environment (dogs welcome at both locations!!) and the focus on weight lifting is chef’s kiss.

    Everyone at the studio was super welcoming and I really appreciated the time they took to show me around. The instructor had a great energy, really clear cues, and the class felt like the right level of challenging. Similar to some other reviews, I was surprised to wear sneakers on the mat and not grippy socks (felt weird wearing outdoor shoes!) and the mats felt a little close together. Overall though, the studio was really pretty (loved the colored lights!) and I got a great workout!

    Honestly this is my favorite class at Bodyrok! It’s the only megaformer class I can find in NYC to incorporate the jump board, which I really takes the workout up a notch. My only gripe with BodyRok in general is that there aren’t as many instructions on form, but Kristen was an exception. Having had rotator cuff surgery and tears in both shoulders, I really appreciated the options offered to modify each position to what works best for my body. Great class!

    Okay wow I loved this class. As someone who does distance racing, it’s so nice to balance all that cardio with traditional strength training. And that’s exactly what Liftonic offers. Front desk staff was super nice and helpful, and even cheerful which was extra noticeable bc it was snowstorm and they were right by the door.     Honestly did not expect a lot but this place blew my expectations away!! Took my first class via Classpass with my friend. We signed up for Level 2 vs the Level 1 (oops). Greeted with nice staff and the lobby and locker room was beautiful!! Love that they even had charging stations, showers and theraguns to use. Bring your own towel or buy one (sucked that they didn’t even have tissues to wipe my face tho). Class was 30 mins but you work out for the full 30 minutes. Instructor was Tyler and he was fun and the music was amazing!! Felt like a rave and the energy was great. I’ll be sooo sore tmr but it was fun!

    The meat of Daniella’s class was really, really great. I would prefer a much shorter intro before class and no debrief after class. I found the intro to be repetitive and intense (I don’t need to hear a sample scream and I think she could demonstrate the concepts while teaching in the actual class instead of teaching techniques before getting started. In a yoga class poses are taught in real time not at the beginning to prep, and I’d like to see that approach here as I see in other meditation and breath work classes). The intro took at least 4x too long and unfortunately the debrief after class took me from being relaxed to being a bit more stressed again hearing about her love of breath work and listening to others’ experiences and debating with myself whether or not to share about my (truly wonderful) experience. Overall I highly recommend but I think there is room for improvement <3

    First time, was the only one there at 7p (in btw Xmas and NYE, hence unusual attendance), but still a great experience. Cole still held class, made me feel super comfortable and had great energy / knowledge. Workout seemed oriented on a series of sets, usually with an EMOM anchoring the middle, not quite HIIT but there’s something in each set to make sure the heart rate stays up. Class would be tough if it’s your first time EVER working out, but still very accessible if you say do some dumbbell/kettlebell strength and cycling/HIIT type classes elsewhere - but want to extend your skill set w/ say basic lifting.
