Such a beautiful, spotless and spacious studio! On the corner with a sweeping view of the park. This instructor is soft spoken and teaches in a more classical, slower pace. Class was good but I prefer a more upbeat energizing style. However she was very clear and demonstrated most exercises so you always knew exactly what to do.

Honestly this is my favorite class at Bodyrok! It’s the only megaformer class I can find in NYC to incorporate the jump board, which I really takes the workout up a notch. My only gripe with BodyRok in general is that there aren’t as many instructions on form, but Kristen was an exception. Having had rotator cuff surgery and tears in both shoulders, I really appreciated the options offered to modify each position to what works best for my body. Great class!

Thea was an excellent kind instructor. She said she usually teaches evenings. I wish the class was a little longer. 45 min felt short but overall nice workout. She did count a lot though, and perhaps this is just my personal preference, but I’m not a huge fan when instructors overcount because then I focus more on the reps than the workout. transformational breathwork with daniella

The meat of Daniella’s class was really, really great. I would prefer a much shorter intro before class and no debrief after class. I found the intro to be repetitive and intense (I don’t need to hear a sample scream and I think she could demonstrate the concepts while teaching in the actual class instead of teaching techniques before getting started. In a yoga class poses are taught in real time not at the beginning to prep, and I’d like to see that approach here as I see in other meditation and breath work classes). The intro took at least 4x too long and unfortunately the debrief after class took me from being relaxed to being a bit more stressed again hearing about her love of breath work and listening to others’ experiences and debating with myself whether or not to share about my (truly wonderful) experience. Overall I highly recommend but I think there is room for improvement <3

Beautiful and intimate studio with classes capped at 5 students. Jenna was great, and paid a lot of attention to fine tuning form which I really appreciated. Woke up today feeling like my back was more aligned, which I didn’t expect. I’ll definitely be returning. #classpassinsider

Diana is FANTASTIC! It’s a great cardio workout with lots of fun moves. Her fun energy and awesome music keeps you going throughout. There is no stretching at the end so build in time to stretch on your own afterwards.

    Mat on the Terrace

Really enjoyed this class! Lydia was great at explaining the moves and made adjustments as needed. The outdoor environment was so nice. I liked that there were modifications to make it more challenging. Great for beginners and more experienced Pilates attendees. Will def attend again!
