see all reviewsPeople at the front desk were very friendly and asked right away if it was my first class. They gave me a quick tour and explained what to expect. There are lockers available and the front door is locked during class which I thought was nice. The studio has like a yoga mat style floor so you don’t wear shoes inside. You can do socks or barefoot, most people had socks. This class was kind of yoga-ish: lots of warrior flows, chair pose, balance stuff. It was tiring but not overwhelming for a new person. I thought it was a nice balance of stretching too. Music was slightly loud which made it a little difficult sometimes to hear the instructor but easy enough to follow what everyone else is doing.

see all reviewsThis was truly hot yoga, I could see the thermostat said 103 😮 The instructor was friendly and welcoming in getting me checked in and seemed to have a rapport with all the regulars coming in. There was instrumental music which was fine and relaxing and seemed appropriate for the relaxed tone of the class. The instructor was sometimes hard to understand so I relied sometimes on watching what others were doing. I did notice some people made grunts during the class which was a little distracting but maybe can’t be helped sometimes. Maybe the noise just carried for some reason.

see all reviewsLoved the class!!!! The instructor taught a great class but she was walking up and down the aisle (like they all do) and just staring at her phone/texting the. Entire. Class. Was definitely distracting. Would totally understand one or two texts if something was going on but the entire 50 minutes was a little extreme.

see all reviewsI took a Monday evening aromatherapy yoga class. The studio is out by Lansing mall and easy to find with plenty of parking. I was greeted walking in, I had to ask for directions because it wasn’t obvious where to go for a newbie but the people were very helpful. The studio was heated to 95-100 per the class description and it felt good to me, a person who hasn’t done hot yoga before. It was warm but not overwhelming at all. There were ~15 people in the class and it was moderate intensity, moving at a pretty quick but doable pace. (If you’re not familiar with yoga at all it would have been confusing though). I really enjoyed the class and felt great afterwards. The instructor mentioned that they had done some partner work in the previous week’s class and if I’m honest that is not at all appealing to me 😂 so I’m relieved I missed that one.

see all reviewsI have PTSD and gynophobia as a result. I came early and met the coach. A panic attack came on before class so I freaked out and went to my phone for help. Class started and it was hard to focus and she ran through all the stuff fast, so I kind of had to figure things out as I went. The coach was helpful and made sure I was doing everything properly. This was the type of workout I've been looking for as an aspiring mixed martial artist. I was so exhausted after class and dry heaved in the bathroom for like 5-10 minutes. I'd like to get to a place where I can finish the workout and not have that happen. Overall I think this did help my exposure therapy, but I also understand that I can give off a "creepy" or "weird" energy sometimes, but it's literally because I'm terrified and trying to hide it. 😅 I think I'll go in again although the teacher didn't really talk to me afterwards and sell me classes or something, so I don't really know how to book again except on here. Oh well.

see all reviewsThe hip hop class was AWESOME. It was my first class with Irie and it was exactly what I needed. The only downfall, to no fault of this studio or the instructor, was a very disruptive participant who felt the need to yell during class "YEAHH, I LOVE YOU ALL". I can only hope

see all reviewsI did a 12:15 pm class and it was great!! I didn’t know what to expect. I showed up at 12 and Morgan came and let me in right around 12:05 since the doors are locked, just as the class description said. It was a very small class, only three of us. Morgan was super welcoming and explained how it would all work, let me know where to put my stuff etc. We did bike, weights, treadmill, weights. It was very challenging but there are many options to adjust to your ability. The other people in the class seemed very friendly too. I’ll definitely come back!

see all reviewsDoors were locked but someone came and let me in. Apparently the regulars have key fobs. It’s a very gym atmosphere (lots of free weights etc). The person who let me in was very friendly and showed me around. The class was really intense, maybe a little too much for me a beginner. There weren’t obvious ways to scale down so it was really tough! Instructor was helpful in explaining things to me and keeping me on track. There were five people, four of us women. Plus other people working out independently in the gym. It seems they’re all on a first name basis and there’s a fair amount of chit chat so if you’re into that, this would be a good place to find your gym community.

see all reviewsThe classes have been awesome! Definitely pushes me way harder than I would myself when training so I really appreciate it. I usually train with Harry or Logan & have to say they’re amazing! Very good at what they do - they’re patient and knowledgeable. We usually run through a warm up to start, followed by some strength training and always do a cool down stretch. The time flies & other trainers around are very enthusiastic and encouraging as well. Great experience so far - intend to keep on attending!
