see all reviewsLoved that this class focused on slipping out of the center line as a defensive strategy. Also love Mike’s verbal communication of speed versus power in combinations. He helps you set a good tempo by demonstrating the combo in details (“jab, jab, cross- that’s a 1, 1, 2- then step out to reset, turn in with your hip for that back upper 6 for power”) then he’ll walk through it again but says “pop” where he wants speed, and “bang” where he wants power “ok so that’s 1,1,2, step out, 6 with power. I wanna hear pop, pop, pop, reset, bang!”. Writing that out it looks silly but it really helps you mental set a tempo and power vs speed. This is a great 30 minute class that will have you sweatin! Love having a 30 minute option on weekdays that I can fit in on a lunch break.
