see all reviewsBrown belt instructor: around a dozen students or so. There was a judo and a bjj class at the same time. L. Hehan chose the latter because the former is well known for getting thrown on the floor many times. Ironically, today’s bjj class had more take downs than the judo class. The Master taught us how to take down the enemy using a single leg entry by first grabbing the enemy’s gi’s collar and sleeve near the elbow, then swim the arm into an underhook, shoot downwards and sideways to grab the enemy’s leg, then lift it up. Finally, trip the remaining leg to drop the enemy. The lesson did not have a sparring session, but some senpais invited L. Hehan for rolling after class. Because L. Hehan is a 0 degree white belt, he lost. L. Hehan prays that as he practices, he shall improve :(

The warm up was to try to pass guard and defend guard passes without using hands. The Professor then taught how to defeat the enemy using an arm bar from closed guard. If the enemy stands up to defend it, underhook the leg and sweep him while holding on to the arm to finish the arm bar. If the enemy pulls the arm out to defend it, switch to triangle to defeat him. We then finished with positional sparring in closed guard. Because L. Hehan is a 0 degree white belt, he was unable to stop the opponents from sweeping him or passing his guard. L. Hehan prays that as he practices, he shall improve :(

The guest Professor taught me how to knee slice past my enemy’s guard from the head quarters position, and also crush my enemy’s knee and smash pass his guard, and if my enemy defends the guard pass by keeping his hook in, I pinch his leg and sit back to enter a leg lock position, and then attack with reverse toe hold, or force it to the other side to attack with inside heel hook. We then sparred. Because I am a 0 degree white belt, the Professor submitted me submissions I have never even seen before. One of which was he literally just put his hand over my mouth and nose whilst controlling my limbs. I pray that as I practice, I will improve :(

Instructor: Dude was wearing a brazil t-shirt so I assume that is where he was from; 3 students but the big dude was late, so we had a semi-private class for almost half an hour. The professor asked me to do 50 jumping jets, 50 burpees, and 50 push ups as warm up. The teenager did not do them. I reckon it was because he had done the youth class right before this one. I then learned how to pass by enemy’s guard using the Tory Round Doe pass, then go on knee-on-belly. As my enemy tries to push my knee away, i grab his arm and defeat him with an arm bar or key moo ra. Because I am a beginner, I had trouble keeping my balance in the movements. We ended the class with 100 sit ups and one minute plank. Normally I can do 30 secs only, but today there were people doing Muay Thai sparring, which distracted me so I forgot about how hard the plank was, so I wnded up doing the full 60 seconds lol. I pray that as I practice, I will improve ;)
