see all reviewsI think I came in through the back. There was no signs so it took me a minute to find the place so I was a little late. When I got there (5 minutes late) everyone was warming up. The equipment is typical CrossFit equipment, little beat up and used but functional. The gym owner was nice to me and personable. He got frustrated that none of the regulars were listening to him and he left before the workout started. I’m newer to CrossFit so I didn’t know if this was normal or not. I was confused with a lot of the movement and how to scale them, but I made it through. All in all it was fine and he seems nice enough. I think he was just having a bad day which happens to everyone.

see all reviewsJoselynne’s class was challenging and such a great workout! Class was fast paced and intermediate level of difficulty. Instructor provided corrections and modifications throughout which I think is great. She was encouraging and gave motivation to push ourselves. However my one critique would be to put more emphasis on encouraging people to listen to their bodies and take more breaks as needed. Instructor style just felt a little too intense for me personally. For example, she did mention the class style was more fast paced but if we needed to we could go at our own pace. But it felt like if I started to pause or slow down for a moment I could hear her yelling and pushing the class to keep going and push through. I can appreciate that she was trying to motivate us but it personally felt a little counter intuitive to the previous advice. If I was a beginner or wasn’t experienced in listening to my body’s needs, it might have caused me to push myself too far and injure myself. Overall I still really enjoyed the class and would come back - thank you Joselynne!
