What is Lotus Pose?

Lotus Pose is considered to be the most classic and recognizable yoga pose. This position helps calm the mind and open up the hips while the legs resemble petals of its namesake flower.

How do you do Lotus Pose?

  • Step 1

    Sit on the floor with your legs straight out in front of you, back straight and arms at your sides.

  • Step 2

    Bend your right knee and bring it into your chest. Gently pull your right ankle to the crease of your left hip

  • Step 3

    Bend your left knee and pull into your chest, resting it in the hip crease. Rest your hands on your knees with palms facing the sky.
