About this class

Flow classes link postures with breath in playful and creative sequencing, to create a moving meditation and build heat in the body. Cultivate strength and flexibility, get your heart rate up, and have fun. This class is geared towards students who have some knowledge of foundational yoga postures and transitional vinyasa postures (downward dog, plank, chaturanga, upward dog or cobra), however all are welcome! Expect to flow faster through sequences, and to be introduced to more challenging postures, including beginner arm balances and inversions. Variations and modifications are offered and students are encouraged to go at their own pace. If the class says "drop-in space only" rest assured that half the spaces are still open for students to drop in while the other half have been filled by online sign up. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the class start time.

How to prepare

Please bring a mat and towel or rent at the studio for $2 each (non-slip mat towels for $3). Filtered water on site, so bring a bottle too! Union Yoga uses consent cards in all Yoga and Pilates classes. Consent cards let teachers know if you like hands-on adjustments. Please take one before you lay your mat down. Your "No" is just as valued as your "Yes". ** All students must sign in at front desk at least 10 minutes before class begins. If reserved spots are not claimed by 10 minutes before class starts, their spots may be forfeited. **

How to get there

Located at 956 Bloor Street West on the second floor above Shopper's Drugmart. The closest intersection is Bloor and Dovercourt. By subway, get off at Ossington and exit at Delaware. There is free parking after 10 am on most side streets, and paid parking on Bloor. ** All students must sign in at front desk at least 10 minutes before class begins. If reserved spots are not claimed by 10 minutes before class starts, their spots may be forfeited.
