About this class

This class is for all levels. The Bar Method is a one-hour total body workout comprised of muscle strengthening and stretching techniques partially performed at the ballet bar, strategically choreographed and executed to music. The system is designed to create a uniquely lean, firm, sculpted body by combining the muscle-shaping principles of isometrics, the body-elongating practice of ballet dance conditioning, the science of physical therapy and the intense pace of interval training.

Lauren was so friendly and very helpful with technique, but she gave instructions so quickly that I struggled to follow them and it took away from the class. I'll be back but if this will be your first class maybe take from another instructor.

Everyone was so helpful and inviting. I had no idea what I was doing but they paired me with someone to watch if I needed help, and even she took time out of her class to position my mat right. Dont be fooled, its a hard class...but definitely worth it.

How to prepare

1. New students must arrive 15 mins early 2. Socks and pants required (no shorts) 3. Only non-breakable water containers allowed 4. No gum or cell phones 5. Instructors may adjust your body or call your name out in class 6. Pregnant students (new) must take prenatal class or DVD. Returning students should have a doctor’s note

What is ClassPass?
