About this class

FIRST TIME USERS: There is a strict 10-minute rule for attending the first class. Please arrive at least 10-minutes early to complete a short, pre-requisite induction form. You will be unable to join the class until this has been completed. This is to ensure your safety and enjoyment. Taking place at 2,700m of simulated altitude. This class is all about working hard and having fun, and getting in shape. With your heart rate displayed on screen, there is no hiding from the instructor as you take on a full-body workout comprised of high-intensity cardio work, and strength exercises on the floor. For every set of work on the cardio machine - be prepared to hit the floor and work your core, as well as the rest of your body! Exercises include Kettlebell, light-weight and bodyweight movements designed to build strength & tone up, while improving your cardiovascular performance. Instructors will adapt each exercise to help you get it right for you, whether a beginner or an expert. Altitude training also boosts the post-exercise endorphin rush, meaning the high doesn't just stop when you return to sea level, you'll leave with that exercise high for the rest of the day!

How to prepare

When to arrive: 15-minutes before (first class). What is required: The pre-requisite induction form can be completed online here (https://www.altitudecentre.com/members/sign-up/). Entry to the class will NOT be permitted until the form is complete. What to wear: Sensible gym kit for exercise. Cycling shoes NOT provided for cycle classes - Gym trainers, SPD Mountain Bike, or Look Keo cleats are suitable. Facilities: Towels complimentary. Toiletries provided. Water bottles provided. Padlocks required for mens changing rooms.

How to get there

The Altitude Centre 6 Trump Street London EC2V 8AF Enter via the Sweatshop Running Store. Upon arrival please head to the changing facilities, down the stairs at the back of the store (unless already changed). Gym and Shower towels are available as complimentary. Once changed head to The Altitude Centre's 'chamber' on the top floor!

Hadnt quite twigged that this was a half treadmill half floor based class (whoops) but my hatred of running was put to the test in a good way, and I ended up quite enjoying this class and its short intervals.

Love the concept but would have liked to work a little bit harder. The frequent intervals of the circuit style workout meant that we didn't get to build up a sweat before switching to the next activity.

Thanks for the feedback! We will take this on board for future Cardio-Strength classes and work towards keeping you in the same place for the exercises so there is a little less changeover! Have you tried our Bodyweight Circuit or HypoxicHIIT classes? Perhaps the added continuity in these may be the perfect fit for you!
