How it works

About this class

Fuel's Barre class is a high-energy class set to music. A full body workout begins with a warm-up/stretch, moves onto planks & ab work on the mat, progresses to arms and then legs & glutes at the barre. We will move in all ranges of motion with the precision of pilates and the flow of a dance class. The class will challenge balance, stamina and muscle control. Our cardio section may include some jumping, but modifications are always given. Good to know: Sticky socks required. Prerequisite Notes: No prior experience is necessary although this is a high-energy class so some exercise experience is advised. Pre-natal clients may participate but you MUST inform the instructor so s/he can provide necessary modifications. Please let the instructor know if you have any injuries.

More towards the dance side of barre which is not my personal preference but instructor Alyssa was very upbeat and encouraging

I’m so glad I gave Reformation Fitness another shot! I had a so-so experience after going to one of the HIIT classes (mostly due to instructor). But absolutely loved the Barre class! Julie was Amazing!!! She was motivating as well as ensured everyone has the best form. Super attentive. Will definitely go again.

I liked the band exercises this class!
Studio Barre (1.5 - Fuel Body Lab) with Julie
The instructor was super nice and helpful, but to call the class a barre class was a stretch, IMO. Traditional barre classes tend to focus on one targeted muscle area and work each area to exhaustion, before moving on to a different muscle group. Most of the moves in the class were big, fast movements that didn’t really achieve muscle exhaustion. The class focused on getting your heart rate up, similar to a HITT class, which is fine for circuit training, but not for a barre class. Overall, the class was mediocre, but not really as described/expected.

Great class! Danielle was able to accommodate seasoned barre enthusiasts and beginners in the same class.
