About this class

If you’re new to Pure Barre – or barre in general – this is a great place to start! Our 55-minute foundations class offers you a small group setting (up to 10 people) where you will be introduced to the basic movements of Pure Barre. With more individualized attention, this class will help you build confidence while you discover how our technique will transform your body. Foundations will show you just how powerful a barre workout can be.

How to prepare

1.New students must arrive 15 mins early to fill out paperwork, regardless of having been to other Pure Barres 2.We cannot accommodate anyone who is more than 5 mins late 3.Pants, legging or capris (no shorts) + top that covers midriff + socks required 4.Shoes & cell phones are not allowed in studio 5.Please let the instructor know of any injuries 6.Pregnant students: always consult with your doctor before beginning a new exercise routine and alert your teacher for modifications

Gina is really warm and helpful! Clean studio, nice staff, good equipment. I personally prefer quieter studios that let you focus on the work a bit more, but if youre looking for good technique and big, upbeat music youll really enjoy this place! Gina gives super helpful tips for beginners.

Good class for newcomers to barre. Gina broke everything down very clearly. I liked the smaller class size compared to the Classics class I took previously. I will definitely come back!

Not a great experience, to be honest. I have 2.5 years of experience in Pilates, but wanted to go slowly to learn what I thought the "fundamentals" of The Barre Method were. This is FAR from a fundamentals class -- 5 minutes of talking and then a very fast-paced, loud, thumpy music, teacher talking into a headset with 4 people in the room nightmare. I left after half the class was over, because at least two of the exercises, if done the way they were taught/demonstrated, would have likely resulted in injury. Will seek a studio more attentive to beginning students' needs, or stick with Pilates. The three stars were for a clean studio, and at least five minutes of actual teaching.

What is ClassPass?
