RTC Osteo Pilates (55 min) at Principle-Fitness & Pilates
About this class
A specialized blend of resistance and weight bearing strength training designed to be safe for those with osteopenia and/or osteoporosis who have been cleared by a medical professional to participate in exercise classes. Using the Pilates Reformer, Tower, Chair and a mix of weight lifting equipment, participants safely work on building strength, flexibility, and balance to help maintain bone density and decrease the risk for falls. Semi-private class limited to 3 attendees; instructor referral required to attend; please call or email to inquire regarding eligibility. Special Populations: Many classes at Principle-Fitness & Pilates may be appropriate for those with special conditions (i.e. pregnancy, postnatal, osteoporosis, back pain, joint issues, etc.) who have clearance from their doctor to exercise. Each person responds to and manages special conditions differently; therefore, it is impossible for us to recommend which classes may be safe for you without understanding your individual situation. If you are unsure as to whether a class is the right fit for you, please call or email the studio so, together, we can match you with classes that suit your body best.

How to prepare
Please make sure bring your own water bottle and towel to aid you during your session. Also, it is very important for you to wear proper footwear; think sneakers or training shoes.
