About this class
Yin Yoga is the perfect complement to a Power Vinyasa (yang) yoga practice and a retreat from your busy life. Fewer poses, longer holds, less standing asanas, more floor time, and, of course, breath and meditation. Yin yoga targets the dense connective tissues of the body, lengthening the tightest muscles; think hips, pelvis, and lower back. This deep practice is gentle, yet intense, helping all levels of students to release tension and detoxify their mind and body as they increase their ability to stay present physically and mentally in long duration asanas. Room is heated to a comfortable 85 degrees. Open to all levels.

How to prepare
Bring a yoga mat, water and towel and wear fitted, moisture-wicking exercise clothes. Remember that every single person in class had a first hot yoga class once. Though yoga may seem unfamiliar at first, try to leave your ego at the door and let yourself be a beginner. Yoga is a practice, but every person in the room is there for the same reason: yoga makes us feel better. Every PFY studio offers Warm Vinyasa Basics classes. In these classes, you will break down common vinyasa yoga poses and learn modifications so you feel empowered and safe.
How to get there
Powerflow Yoga Morristown is located at 40 Market St., just one block away from the Green. We are in the heart of downtown Morristown, right next door to our friends at Bloom Morristown and Carlo’s Bakery. Leave yourself plenty of time for parking. There is metered street parking near the studio or a public parking garage (entrances on Maple Ave. or Dehart St.).
