Yin + Jyoti at Phoenix Yoga Studios
About this class
Beginner Friendly Jyoti is a sanskrit word meaning divine light. We begin with a meditative, slow-paced yin practice that uses long, deep stretching to enhance joint mobility and flexibility, lengthening the muscles and fascia tissue. Then through deep guided relaxation (yoga nidra), the body will completely relax so we can become increasingly aware of our divine inner light. This practice is among the deepest possible states of relaxation while still maintaining full consciousness. Beneficial for all levels of ability.
