About this class

This is a different take on interval classes with the added benefit of developing your jump rope skills and in turn your biomotor abilities. Skipping has shown to be one of the most effective workouts for burning fat and toning as well as a tool for improving agility, coordination, speed and endurance. This is different from what you've done before and we're the original in London. The structure is: Warm Up: basic joint mobilisations and dynamic stretching and movements Technique: we'll go over some basics and reinforce key skills Jump Rope intervals: Intervals of different skipping techniques ranging from 90 seconds up to 5 minutes some sessions when we're trying to hit endurance targets (don't worry, you can take breaks until you build to it). Some intervals will focus more on technique development to develop a specific jumping skill. Drill intervals: Intervals of drills designed to increase speed, strength, coordination and explosiveness. This can include footwork drills, shuttle runs, cone and/or ladder drills as well as bodyweight exercises Games and team intervals: These can include double dutch or team relays to break up the class and make it even more fun

Jump Rope Fitness Class
Despite being the novice I was encouraged by Wasim and the others. The skipping exercises were varied. I hadn't appreciated how many one can do. This is definitely worth incorporating within my exercise routine.
