About this class

Our Prenatal Reformer series offers you a safe, supportive, and positive environment to strengthen and lengthen your entire body. Practicing Pilates throughout your pregnancy is a wonderful way to stay in shape and look after your body and mind. Many women experience back pain due to changes in their bodies, and regular Pilates practice strengthens the muscles that support your back, helping to prevent and alleviate back aches and pains. Beyond toning and strengthening the entire body, Pilates also strengthens the pelvic floor, which helps to support the weight of your baby during pregnancy as well as aid in the delivery.

How to prepare

If it's your first time, please arrive 15 minutes before class so that the MNT staff can get you checked in and show you around. MNT requires that you wear socks that cover the entire foot for all classes except yoga. Grip socks are recommended so that you don't slip. They are sold in the MNT boutique if you need a new pair.

There were only 3 people in the class so it was easy for the instructor to keep an eye on our forms. I only wish the class was 10 minutes longer!

The facility is absolutely beautiful and the instructor was really sweet and welcoming, but it wasnt quite what I was looking for. I attend other classes that arent necessarily prenatal focused, but have modifications, and this was like a milder version of those. I was hoping for more pelvic strengthening exercises very specifically geared towards pregnancy. It was a decent workout, and seemingly geared towards women who may be a little more on the beginners side of a fitness routine and looking for a good total body workout throughout pregnancy, or even to get in shape post-pregnancy. If youve been working out prior to pregnancy and are still keeping up with previous workout routines, I wouldnt necessarily recommend this class. Again, not a bad class or experience at all, just not what I was looking for.

Was happy to continue my Pilates reformer practice while pregnant; its so hard to find classes where you can continue to feel comfortable with your changing body. Mikaela is a great teacher. Bummed to hear that this class is going away.

What is ClassPass?
