How it works

About this class

Their evening class meets in the parking lot near Sharon Meadow, just off MLK drive, close to the Carousel. Please be sure to keep valuables out of sight in your car. This class is a great option for those looking to focus in on muscular strength and core training, also available for those that are unable to run due to aching knees or hips, and even those injured or new to exercise and looking for a non-run option. Expect a fair amount of core work, resistance training, cones, medicine balls, ropes, agility ladders, kettle bells, and many other tools they use to ramp up your metabolism, burn some fat, shape your muscles nicely, and leave you feeling great the rest of your day! Beginners are welcome!

How to prepare

It's good to wear layered workout clothing and comfortable running shoes. The weather is usually chilly when class begins, so it helps to wear light jacket that you can wrap around your waist after warmup. They work out rain or shine! Please register on their website and fill out their waiver before your first class: http://www.koifitness.com/register.

How to get there

FOR MUSIC CONCOURSE CLASSES: Meet near the Japanese Tea Garden in the tour bus parking lot, behind the band shell of the Music Concourse. Members usually park along the intersection of MLK Drive and Hagiwara Tea Garden Drive. Some members walk or ride their bikes over, too. Workouts take place throughout Golden Gate Park, including the Music Concourse, Stow Lake, Kezar Stadium, Big Rec baseball field, various playgrounds, and other locations.
