About this class

90 minutes Our user-friendly but challenging general level class. Hip openers, deep twists, upper body strengtheners, bum and ab toners, this fully rounded workout works 100% of the body. It is a combination of Hatha, Power and Ashtanga yoga, Interval and Core Training and offers peak fitness, strength, flexibility and relaxation. Performed to music this class is designed to develop a sense of enjoyment and freedom and to allow one’s breath and energy to fuel the practise. This class is the centre spoke of all the classes and the class they all originate from. Key benefits: upper body, strength, toned bum and abs, grace and fluidity, deep expression of the self.

Even for a hot yoga class, the heat was extremely unpleasant and stifling (the floor was heated too). Thorough stretch and nice instructor.

I think they had ramped up the temperature compared with previous classes. It was unpleasant as I could smell participants’ body odour and everything they had done over the past few days. Not nice. The instructor went to get some air at one point by opening a door. A few people mentioned in the changing room that it felt hotter. Please keep it consistent.

This was my first time doing hot yoga (although I’ve done a fair bit of normal yoga). I was nervous initially about whether I’d cope with the heat. The instructor was very reassuring and told me to stop if I felt lightheaded. It was the most incredible yoga class I’ve ever done. The instructor corrected poses, checked I was ok, and really knew how subtle poses would feel. The class was full for an off-peak time and so that shows the high quality of it. I felt very energised, light, and really great afterwards. Highly recommended!

How to prepare

This is Hot yoga so we do advise that you arrive for your class fully hydrated. You'll need two towels (one to practice, one to shower) and some water. Towels can be rented for £1.20 and water is on sale. Mats rental is included. Please feel free to bring your own if you prefer. Lockers (using padlocks), showers with shower gel and shampoo and hair dryers are all available.

How to get there

There is pay and display parking on surrounding streets (Beethoven, Fifth Ave, Oliphant St, Nutbourne St, Dart St, Bravington St) from 8am to 6.30pm Mon to Fri and there is a large pay and display car park on the Kilburn Lane junction with Salisbury Rd. Before 8am and after 6.30pm parking is free on single yellow lines along Kilburn Lane. A short walk from Queen's Park or Kensal Rise stations.
