How it works

About this class

If you have a strong foundation, you can build anything on it. Their 40-minute Foundation class is a great place to start for those who are new to CORE40. If you are new to the studio, they strongly recommend that you take a Foundation class first so that you can get comfortable with their equipment, their 40-minute format and the fundamental exercises. But don't let the name fool you into thinking this class is only for newbies. Veterans are welcome and will be challenged, they promise! You will definitely break a sweat as you strengthen, tighten, tone and stretch your body in this fun, intense, music-inspired group class.

CORE40 Foundation with Christian
The best instructor I’ve had! She is concise and gentle with such positive energy! I felt encouraged to push harder, and I can see myself getting stronger if I continue. Also, the space is beautiful!

Great instructor!!
CORE40 Foundation with Laura
This was my first mega formers/general pilates class! Laura was great, she showed me the machine basics in the beginning of class and corrected my form as the class went on (or tried haha, I couldn’t hold many of the positions!). It was pretty intense—for the moves that my core just couldn’t hold, she offered alternative moves. She was very attentive to me and others. I will definitely be back for her evening classes.
CORE40 Foundation with Anny
Not my type of workout, but amazing instructor! She was very helpful and encouraging. Would recommend everyone try it because maybe it is for you!

Great for all levels, but definitely a challenging workout! Got a great sweat in. Will be back!

Great class! Really challenging. Also I appreciated how cool and breezy the room is!
CORE40 Foundation with Jenny
I understand the teachers need to move quickly since it’s only 40 min, but given it’s a beginner class and several people identified themselves as first timers I was annoyed with how little she engaged with people. I would like to try again, but don’t see it as an option given the class is 15 credits. I don’t see any reason why this should cost so many credits, especially when it was only 1/2 full. With all that said, I can see how Core40 would help whip you in to shape, although I’d like me, you have literally no core muscles you may want to work on a foundation a little before going.
