About this class

Location: Body Temp 2416 Chestnut Street  Renew your mind, relieve your aches and soothe your soul with the mindful practice of Restorative Yoga & Rolling. This class begins with the perfect amount of slow and gentle Asana (physical practice) and Rolling (to release myofascial stress and tension) so that you can settle deeply into longer held and supported restorative poses. Restorative Yoga & Rolling will bring recuperation to your organs, nervous system, and consciousness. Long holds soothe the mind and encourage an inward focus. A slower practice will awaken and encourage deeper openings.  By cultivating awareness of your body, breath, emotional state and thoughts, you'll leave your mat feeling focused, grounded and full of equanimity. You will be ready to sleep soundly through the night and will be restored for the rest of your week! This class is essential for everyone seeking stasis and balance...all ages and bodies welcome.

How to prepare

Students should wear something light. You're going to sweat! Also remember to bring a mat and towel. If you don't have a mat or towel, you can rent them for $3 each at the studio. Please leave your valuables at home or in a secure place. We have locks available for rent. Body Temp Yoga is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Given the popularity of weekend Sculpt classes, there's going to be a lot of love in the room--meaning a lot of sharing the space. The Hot Sculpt classes are very crowded.

How to get there

You must arrive at least 10 minutes prior to class time or you forfeit your spot and your reservation will be noted as a missed class. Please remember. There are 2 studios -- one is heated and one is unheated. The location of your class is in the Class Description. If you go to a class and something seems off then you're probably at the wrong studio. Note: The Renew studio is currently undergoing a seismic retrofit. The Body Temp Hot Yoga studio is located on the second floor above The Missing Sock Laundry.

SO relaxing. Love this class.

I wouldn't call this a roll class. More like restorative yoga, very little rolling...10 mins max. The class was freezing and the foal rollers were way to soft. But the instructive was extremely kind and informative. Take this class if you want restorative yoga only.
Response from the studio:
Please read the class description! You won't be disappointed if you only read beyond the title!

Very calming and restorative. You def won't sweat but it's nice to stretch and roll out your muscles.

Teacher was fantastic. The people working at the studio (owners?) were so incredibly rude. I'm baffled you would be part of a yoga community and be so rude, to each other, to your clients, to the class instructor herself!
Response from the studio:
Thank you for the nice review. However, I'd like to correct you on the assumption that the owners (or even people working at the studio for that matter) were rude to the instructor. The teacher was working all by herself. She had no one else was working with her that day. My name is Chadd and I am the owner and I make great effort to make sure the studio is a safe space for both student and teacher. Please reach out to me directly at and let me know what happened. We at Body Temp are proud to be a part of the yoga community and are anything but rude to each other, our clients and our instructors. Please, reach out to me directly about this.
