Learn and experience how meditation can be a powerful tool in cultivating more peace, focus, and energy in body and mind. How to prepare

When to Arrive:Come early as sessions start on time. Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes in advance. Settle in with some tea and ease into your meditation experience. What to Wear:Come as you are! The studio suggests wearing something comfortable to sit in, whether jeans, work attire or workout clothes. They ask that you remove your shoes at the door, so please bring socks or feel free to go barefoot.

How to get there

Anchor Meditation holds classes at 2118 Union Street in the Marina. Please drop in to meditate. Classes and workshops are available throughout the week. We also offer private meditations, group sessions, event rental and teacher training.

Beginner's Meditation with Christa
An incredible deep dive into meditation with clear explanations, insights, guidance and compassion. Christa Reynolds is an exceptional person and I feel grateful to have shared space with her tonight.
Beginner's Meditation with Katina
Maybe its just me but having metta (loving kindness) as a part of this class was too conceptual for an intro class. A few people in the class, including me, really struggled to relate to that part of the class and there wasnt a whole lot of instruction on how to extend love inward and outward. For an intro class, Id focus more on calming the mind, breathing, being in the moment, and observing your thoughts. Im probably biased as my only experience with meditation is with Headspace and thats their approach, but personally, I connected much more to the intro sessions on Headspace than this class. Also, the instructor arrived just a few minutes before class so most of the class was just standing around on the sidewalk waiting. The space was ok, please fix the refrigerator or whatever buzzed every few minutes, was pretty distracting.

What is ClassPass?
