About this class

Aerial Sling Hammock :: Level 1 Beginner  Ages 12+ Great for 1st time Fabric Play, Beginning Aerialists, Starting a Fitness Routine This is one of our most popular classes!!! You are able to get upside down, right away and will learn several poses the very first class!! Aerial Hammock builds strength and enhances flexibility making this an ideal apparatus to begin your Aerial fitness journey! As with Aerial Silks, Aerial Hammock utilizes the fabric for support. The Sling creates a natural seat for the Aerialist, allowing weight to be supported more evenly, and movements learned faster. Most Sling’s are attached to something called a “Spinner” allowing the performer to rotate gracefully while creating shapes, poses and drops throughout their routine. As a beginner, curriculum will focus on introduction to the fabric, several core moves and basic conditioning.

How to prepare

For pole classes, shorts are highly recommended. For aerial classes, leggings or capri pants are recommended to prevent apparatus burns.

Omg so fun! I was not expecting to like this class because Im older (52YO) but absolutely LOVED it! I think its good for beginners but the slings need to be at the correct heights - some of the other clients had issues with completing the exercises because the heights were off.

I enjoyed the class and instructor. Though, the instructor to the pole dancing class was kind of rude. Maybe because my friend and I had on pants and didn't look like strippers. IDK? Won't be going back.
