About this class
Aerial Hoop :: Level 1 :: Beginner Ages 12+ Aerial Hoop (also known as Lyra, Aerial Ring or Cerceau) is a circular steel apparatus resembling a hula hoop suspended from the ceiling, on which circus artists may perform aerial acrobatics. In this class you will learn Aerial Hoop basics such as mounting the hoop, posing, spinning and moving within it. Your Lyra instructor will guide you through learning over 100 different hoop tricks and put them into various combinations. Each week you will be challenged to create new and different combinations all while getting a great workout and having lots of fun. All fitness levels and all shapes and sizes are welcome - no experience is necessary! Aerial Hoop classes are great for building core strength and increasing your flexibility. Co-ed. How to prepare
For pole classes, shorts are highly recommended. For aerial classes, leggings or capri pants are recommended to prevent apparatus burns.
