How it works

About this class

This class is designed to introduce beginning students to the fundamentals of lyra (aerial hoop). Students will learn to hang and invert from the hoop, as well as to sit and change position within the hoop. From there, beginning poses, transitions, and sequences will be introduced with an emphasis on technique and strength to prepare students for higher level skills. As with all aerial classes, students are encouraged to take additional flexibility classes. It is recommended that students wear tight-fitting clothing that covers the back of the knees, low/mid back, and armpits.

Aerial Hoop (Lyra) Beginner, First Time Clients Welcome with Lindsey
Challenging for beginners, very full class and lots of bruises from the lyra. But it was fun!
Aerial Hoop (Lyra) Beginner, First Time Clients Welcome with Zoe
Much more conditioning than time on the apparatus. However the studio set up allows you to observe advanced students in the other class

Aerial Hoop (Lyra) Beginner, First Time Clients Welcome with Tara
This class was challenging in a good way. Most of the class knew how to do the splits, which was a warmup for this class. I would take this again

Crowded. Didnt get to be on hoop for too long Cus we had to share. But still fun and challenging
Aerial Hoop (Lyra) Beginner, First Time Clients Welcome with Jacqueline
Ive tried aerial yoga and really enjoyed it and thought Id give this a try thinking it was similar. Its definitely not. The class was more about tricks than the basics, and I felt like it was more of an intermediate class than beginner. Ill stick to aerial yoga.
