How it works

About this class

The aerial hammock is derived from aerial silks, with the fabric forming a sling instead of two separate silk poles. While aerial yoga is a growing fitness trend these days, at Aerial and Floor, they specialise in teaching acrobatic and dance movements using this versatile apparatus. If you are a beginner to aerial arts, and are looking to try out a fun and unusual activity or a new fitness regime this is a great class. They welcome anyone to join the introductory classes for the hammock — you’ll fall in love with at least one of the apparatus! Please take note the max students in a class is 12 students. 2 students to an apparatus is essential because you will need to spot one another.

How to prepare

Please take note the max students in a class is 12 students for both hoop & hammock intro. 2 students to an apparatus is essential because you will need to spot one another. It is recommended that you wear tank tops or sleeved tops and leggings, with elbow/knee guards and socks optional for protection against fabric or hoop burns for aerial classes. Please do not wear any jewellery and other accessories as they may catch on the apparatus and cause injury.

Was intimated at first but Su was very patient & guided me to overcome my fear! I can confidently do some basic shapes now even after just taking 1 class! Need to work out my core muscles more. Try not to eat too much b4 class to avoid feeling dizzy!

Fun class, Eunice was engaging and helpful. Enjoyed myself even though the level was targeted more at newcomers without any aerial experience.
