About this class

This class offers a gentle, strengthening flow to prepare the body and mind for birth and beyond. Students will benefit with improved blood circulation to decrease swelling, poses to enhance optimal fetal positioning for labor, and breath and body awareness to carry you through the rapid changes your body experiences during pregnancy. Myofascial release will be incorporated as well to ease the pressures of pregnancy and motherhood on your body. This class is perfect for second- and third-trimester mamas as well as postnatal mamas. Classes will incorporate props and offer modifications for all stages of pregnancy—for beginners and once-in-a-whilers to seasoned yogis alike. The Prenatal yoga class is led by a certified yoga instructor (RYT) who is also a new mama and has recently completed her 100 hour prenatal yoga training from a Registered Prenatal Yoga School (RPYS) through Yoga Alliance. How to prepare

Please arrive 10 minutes before class starts so that you may sign-in, orient yourself and enter class in a relaxed way. We have mats and towels which are free to borrow, though we recommend bringing your own. Wear any comfortable clothing that allows freedom of movement.

How to get there

200 BENNETT ST. ATLANTA GA 30309 We are tucked away in the Bennett Street Design District. Head all the way down Bennett Street past the MOCA. Turn Left on Bratton Street before you reach The Stalls. Find us at the end of the street on your right. For security and uninterrupted classes, we lock our doors during class time. Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to class start times to allow time for sign-in and a peaceful beginning to your practice.

I really enjoy this class, I went for the first time about 3 or 4 weeks ago and have been every week since. Joy is so nice and helpful and this class is great to work out all the pregnancy tightness and aches. I feel so much better after this class!

This is a great class for someone further along in their pregnancy but I wouldn't recommend it to someone in their 1st trimester. It's very calm, lots of stretching and just a little bit of flow. You won't sweat but it's great prep for stretching out hips and getting ready for labor.

Although this was described as a "gentle" class, it was way too easy. I didn't feel challenged at any point. I wanted to know more about why certain poses were beneficial for a pregnant body, but that wasn't really explained. We just walked through modified versions of really simple yoga poses (warrior two, triangle, child's pose, etc.).
