About this class

Libertas- Movement skill-High/ Strength-Low / Mobility-Very High/ Conditioning-Low / Libertas means freedom. Freedom of movement. Freedom from injury and pain. To achieve this freedom you need: · A strong and resilient core · Functionally mobile spine, hips and shoulders. · Keen body awareness, a sensitivity of the body’s position in space. The ultimate aim of Libertas is to develop body awareness, core strength and mobility of the spine, hips and shoulders. This awareness allows you to take on any movement system, sport, recreational activity, or specific skill work with success and without fear of injury. In a nutshell, success in the Libertas curriculum sets you up for success in any physical endeavor. This class takes a slow, regenerative approach to movement.  There is not any conditioning component.  If you're goal is to sweat a lot and get your heart rate up this is NOT the class.

How to prepare

Bring towels and a water bottle. We have free reverse osmosis water, please bring your own water bottle or canteen. Bring boxing gloves for Pro Vita Tua!!! Hand wraps are also recommended. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early for class to get acquainted and to do some self-myofascial release work (aka "foam rolling") before the workout.

How to get there

New location is at 2723 Lincoln Blvd. 90405. On the corner of Lincoln Blvd and Hill Street- One block south of Ocean Park. Look for the 34° North Billboard and the tiger mural on the south wall!

What is ClassPass?
