About this studio
Old School Skinny brings back that feeling of togettherness we had at house parties back in the day. A time when everyone was on the dance floor and the DJ rocked the party all night long. Regardless of age or ability, the throwback cardio grooves allow everyone to get lost in the moment and release their inner Soul Train dancer. The energy is electric and the hand picked playlist of hits from the 80s and 90s are invigorating spiritually as well as physically. Its a fun approach to shedding unwanted pounds and will literally have you dancing everywhere you go. How to prepare
Be sure to eat a hearty snack that will keep you energized throughout class. You'll want to have a water that has a sport top to grab and sip easily. Worried about what to wear? Come comfortable with shoes that have a flexible sole and clothes made with breathable fabrics so you don't overheat. OSS tends to make your forehead drip so you may want to bring a small towel. How to get there
It's the orange building. The side street residential area has a lot of parking and on Burbank. Theres a lot in the back but it may be full. Have bad knees? An aching back? Get to class at least 5 minutes early to allow time to address these concerns before the music starts pumping. During class I can provide you with modified movements that will apply less pressure on your bad joints. Remember to properly rehydrate. If you wake up feeling sore, take some time during your day to stretch so you're ready to get back out on the dance floor.
