Reformer All Levels (Amor Room)
see all reviewsSuch a beautiful, spotless and spacious studio! On the corner with a sweeping view of the park. This instructor is soft spoken and teaches in a more classical, slower pace. Class was good but I prefer a more upbeat energizing style. However she was very clear and demonstrated most exercises so you always knew exactly what to do.

see all reviewsDanii was a great instructor! So welcoming and energetic. Some moves were a little confusing as a first timer but overall, I got the basics down. Definitely a challenging workout but you choose how much to push yourself. According to Danii, this is the only class you want an F in for failure lol

see all reviewsGreat full body workout using dumbbells and bodyweight. Class consisted of 3 circuits, each circuit had 5 workouts-3 strength, 1 cardio and 1 core (done three times through). Expect to do squats, lunges, planks, tricep extensions, bicep curls, jumping jacks, skiers etc.

see all reviewsHonestly this is my favorite class at Bodyrok! It’s the only megaformer class I can find in NYC to incorporate the jump board, which I really takes the workout up a notch. My only gripe with BodyRok in general is that there aren’t as many instructions on form, but Kristen was an exception. Having had rotator cuff surgery and tears in both shoulders, I really appreciated the options offered to modify each position to what works best for my body. Great class!

see all reviewsJamie and Craig took it up a notch in this class! First timers - it's really challenging in the beginning but worth it to come back. It took me quite a few classes before I could completely follow a new routine. Plus routines are repeated for the following 2-3 weeks before a new one is taught.

see all reviewsGreat classical class with lots of stretching. Real ones who understand classical pilates - small, slow movements while utilizing core and stabilizing pelvis - will enjoy this class. If you want someone to yell at you while burning out your glutes (and probably using the wrong muscles), I’d try somewhere like solidcore or BodyRok.

see all reviewsThe meat of Daniella’s class was really, really great. I would prefer a much shorter intro before class and no debrief after class. I found the intro to be repetitive and intense (I don’t need to hear a sample scream and I think she could demonstrate the concepts while teaching in the actual class instead of teaching techniques before getting started. In a yoga class poses are taught in real time not at the beginning to prep, and I’d like to see that approach here as I see in other meditation and breath work classes). The intro took at least 4x too long and unfortunately the debrief after class took me from being relaxed to being a bit more stressed again hearing about her love of breath work and listening to others’ experiences and debating with myself whether or not to share about my (truly wonderful) experience. Overall I highly recommend but I think there is room for improvement <3
