There is a lot of flexibility to change things up and even in the sets a lot of options are given (for example the cardio between sets offered 200m dash outside, pull ups, or some rowing type machine). He pushes you to perform your best and increase weights throughout sets to really fatigue muscle groups out. High impact workout in a short amount of time.
