    This class was 5-10x harder than all other teachers. I’ve taken pure barre since 2016. I have had the “shakes” in months or years. I come 2-3x week with a variety of teachers but first time with Matty. He used unique movies but also classic poses. There’s something to be said about doing moves for longer to create the shakes which I haven’t seen teachers do in a long time. I was actually sore from this class.

She gives really clear instructions so you actually know what is going on, hits you with a ton of praise so you feel like you knew what was going on all along, and offers subtle corrections to help you get the most out of your burn.     Sub teacher tonight- class was 6 stations-2 exercises at each, doing each exercise at the station twice (45 seconds on 15 seconds break) followed by a transition workout (planks, skaters, squat jumps) to the next station. Music wasn’t great and no warm up or cool down but it was a great and effective workout.
