She was so welcoming and led the class in a way that made your mind very present and centered on the practice. She pushes you too, in a firm yet gentle way. If you really can’t keep up there are some slower moments to take a water break and flow back into the moves. Only critique is if you are a complete beginner then I don’t think this is the class for you, there wasn’t much instruction on the forms of moves which this class was not trying to do. Only slight descriptions and adjustments for what it should feel like which was very helpful. Will definitely be back again!

It was my first time in and I was greeted by the friendly woman at the front desk who helped pump me up for class and I immediately felt welcomed at this studio. Lauren was the instructor and had so much energy and made the class a lot of fun. I started on the floor and got a great arm and core workout and Lauren gave great form cues and modifications. Half way through we switched sides and I went to do the treadmill part of the class…Speaking of the treadmills, shred has the woodways that are life changing! I got such a great workout in and cannot wait to come back. It is clear that this is a studio that cares about their participants, makes sure everyone feels welcome regardless of fitness level & the vibe is just right! The thing I wish they would change is the "weight lifting" portion. these quick movements with little weights are just not that effective and it's pretty impossible to keep good form while frenetically throwing a 3lb weight around. This is so common in classes that women predominantly go to. It always bothers me lol so maybe I'm being too critical, but I just think it's a waste of time in the class.
