    Exhale Barre

Amazing to be back in class! After a year plus of not stepping foot in a fitness studio or gym, being left to my own devices at home in my makeshift apartment gym, I have sorely missed a true barre class and Kat was as intense and challenging as I remember. She didn’t waste a second of the hour and gave us an incredibly thorough workout. Capacity is capped so there was plenty of space between students with mask and cleaning protocols in place. Only caveat is that I wish the showers reopen bc there’s nothing worse than having to commute home when super sweaty after class & not even be able to wash off.

    Gym Time

Love this gym. My only suggestion lately is that they have four true spin bikes and two are closed off for covid to make space, but It would be nice to take those other two bikes and put them somewhere else so they can be in use as well, since the open two are always so popular right now.

    Pure Reform (50 Mins)

Expect more reps, longer sets, more positions covered, more compound body movements, plenty more core work + a lot more sweat during Caroline’s classes! She has truly spoiled me for the Reform Method bc no other instructor at PB comes close to providing such a thorough, intense, or challenging workout. Every section flows into the next with nominal downtime + no second wasted.

    Exhale Barre 60

Excellent in-studio setup: easy to follow and see the instructor. Audio was clear throughout (would’ve loved to hear the music, but that’s a minor item). Challenging workout, Sarah was engaging and entertaining - always helpful during killer thigh work...

I really have never liked barre but really liked this class! It didnt seem to drag on like others do. Kept moving and the instructor made good adjustments (sometimes I feel like they try to make your body do things its not supposed to). Will come back! Love that its in my neighborhood too

    HIIT

Small class (five people) spacious room with wooden floor and natural light. Front desk could be more helpful. No locker room or fancy equipments but it didn’t bother me. Two sets, three to four moves each set; repeat each set three times. Gets easier toward the end. Nice instructor.

First time taking reform. Love using the sliders. Some of the positions weren’t as clear what muscle I was working, less of the heavy burn of a regular classic class. Would like to try again to see if these things feel more clear next time. Instructor was great, beautiful space as all Pure Barre studios are...

One of the best PB classes I’ve taken in a long while. Super attentive and sweet instructor, and so many great corrections throughout class really maxing out my workout. Will be making sure to come to her classes as often as possible. Thanks Carly!

    Signature II

My last couple of classes at Physique have been great. I take Barre for recovery after doing lots of HIIT and cardio / boot camps. I can’t stand when you feel no burn after barre and boy did I feel a burn. Jason kept the class flowing , played awesome music , was clearly happy to be teaching and really taught a great class. Fabulous abs section. I hope to take his class soon !!

    Figure 4 Barre (Open)

Mike is an excellent teacher. The one thing that would take his classes to the next level, especially the Sunday 8am class which is a manageable size, would be to try to learn the names of the students in class. Again, he’s already awesome, but this would make it a 10 out of 10.

This was my first Pure Barre class ever, though have taken Physique about 8 times. The instructor was so nice and welcoming and corrected my form a few times. I found it incredibly challenging but rewarding and of course a great workout. Would have been very difficult to do without any prior barre experience in my personal opinion!
