    VINYASA YOGA

This is usually a great class. This was stressful. Instructor was calling out poses rapid fire and then upset when we forgot them. Each ten pose flow needed to be done in unison as a class and we were encouraged to “keep up with your partner”. If the whole class is doing something wrong or positioned wrong, this falls on the teacher. Not the class. And yet we are told it’s our class and we can make it as gentle as we want it to be. I love Purenergy. This class was stressful and loud.

    Krav Maga Self Defense: Beginners

The instructor and assistant instructor gave very clear instructions and guidance. If you come by yourself, needless to say but be prepared to work in pairs and come in close contact with others. The studio is located in a basement and is very spacious. However, I felt the air was quite dry and irritating for the throat. I don't know if it had to do with the filter conditions in the vents. Check-in instructions are not super clear for first timers. There's a big screen with a digital check-in pad outside the entrance. Overall, this was a very good and sweat-inducing intro class to Krav Maga. It felt like a mix of boxing / self defense moves / body conditioning.

    Practical Kickboxing

The owner Mike was very welcoming, friendly and supportive of this being my first ever actually ‘kickboxing’ class. The instructions were clear throughout both in practical and hands on implementation. I learned so much in just one single session! The other seasoned students were equally as friendly and willing to mentor me through the different segments of the training session. I felt very at ease overall which made this learning experience very rewarding. I have nothing but extremely positive things to say about the professionalism, expertise, and overall open door policy to “brand new” beginners like myself, who came looking to learn some basic fundamentals of kickboxing. The workout space was also exceptionally clean, well laid out with tons of space, good air/lighting and quality equipment for all to utilize. Thanks so much for a hugely positive experience!!

My first time taking any class is always nerve wrecking. I’ve always admired Brazilian Jiu Jitsu & today I finally had the guts to attend. Coach John was substituting and he was very welcoming. Unfortunately, the 7p is more advanced, but he and the advanced ladies Mila, Michelle & Gwen were patient and kind teaching me basic fundamentals. They even allowed me to try the warm-up and some of Coach John’s moves of the day. Everyone was super welcoming, so I appreciated the impromptu intro to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I’ll be back for the 6p here at UFC CM or maybe try to the ladies gi at UFC HB. Good stuff!
