    Reformer All Levels (Amor Room)

Such a beautiful, spotless and spacious studio! On the corner with a sweeping view of the park. This instructor is soft spoken and teaches in a more classical, slower pace. Class was good but I prefer a more upbeat energizing style. However she was very clear and demonstrated most exercises so you always knew exactly what to do.

    Cardio Burn

My first P.volve class, and it 👏 did 👏 not 👏 disappoint 👏 I have been to many workout classes across the board in NYC, and this is one of my new favorites now. Instructor was clear, easy to follow, and positive. The class was challenging, and I left feeling the burn and accomplished. Highly recommend!

    Off Peak - Full Body

Danii was a great instructor! So welcoming and energetic. Some moves were a little confusing as a first timer but overall, I got the basics down. Definitely a challenging workout but you choose how much to push yourself. According to Danii, this is the only class you want an F in for failure lol

    Shredded

Great full body workout using dumbbells and bodyweight. Class consisted of 3 circuits, each circuit had 5 workouts-3 strength, 1 cardio and 1 core (done three times through). Expect to do squats, lunges, planks, tricep extensions, bicep curls, jumping jacks, skiers etc.

CORE & CARDIO Sculpt Full Body

Honestly this is my favorite class at Bodyrok! It’s the only megaformer class I can find in NYC to incorporate the jump board, which I really takes the workout up a notch. My only gripe with BodyRok in general is that there aren’t as many instructions on form, but Kristen was an exception. Having had rotator cuff surgery and tears in both shoulders, I really appreciated the options offered to modify each position to what works best for my body. Great class!

St. Mark’s Yoga has a beautiful space with a wide array of amazing instructors who have varied yogic training. It’s a great way to expose yourself to different yogic schools of thought and practices. Brian is my favorite instructor so far. He is funny and philosophical, and his classes are physically challenging and unique. I leave each class with a much greater awareness of my body’s abilities and limitations and a desire to learn more about the sources of his thought.

    Videography Dance Project: 3D

Jamie and Craig took it up a notch in this class! First timers - it's really challenging in the beginning but worth it to come back. It took me quite a few classes before I could completely follow a new routine. Plus routines are repeated for the following 2-3 weeks before a new one is taught.

    transformational breathwork with daniella

The meat of Daniella’s class was really, really great. I would prefer a much shorter intro before class and no debrief after class. I found the intro to be repetitive and intense (I don’t need to hear a sample scream and I think she could demonstrate the concepts while teaching in the actual class instead of teaching techniques before getting started. In a yoga class poses are taught in real time not at the beginning to prep, and I’d like to see that approach here as I see in other meditation and breath work classes). The intro took at least 4x too long and unfortunately the debrief after class took me from being relaxed to being a bit more stressed again hearing about her love of breath work and listening to others’ experiences and debating with myself whether or not to share about my (truly wonderful) experience. Overall I highly recommend but I think there is room for improvement <3

Beautiful and intimate studio with classes capped at 5 students. Jenna was great, and paid a lot of attention to fine tuning form which I really appreciated. Woke up today feeling like my back was more aligned, which I didn’t expect. I’ll definitely be returning. #classpassinsider

    Heated Vinyasa Yoga

A great beyond-basics vinyasa class. Not super hot, but I think that works well with the format! (I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this for anyone brand-new to yoga, as it’s fast-paced and there’s not much in the way of instruction for individual poses.)
