The perfect Sunday morning class! It feels gentle and easy at first, but the class is deceptively challenging. I’m always wobbly-legged after class and sore the next day, but without the loud music and high intensity of the workouts I do the rest of the week.

Baylee and the class were amazing! The class offered a great variety of exercises over 3 stations (treadmill, floor, bench). Even though there was a lot of variations within each station, Baylee gave us enough heads up to be prepared and know exactly what to do even being a first-timer myself. She gave a range and a guideline for the intensity of each exercise, which was very helpful (e.g. 25lb for a challenge, 100 to bodyweight for sled, etc.).

Harris has great energy and I like how the bikes are sufficiently spaced apart so there’s no chance of bumping into your neighbour as you would at many other spin studios here in Toronto. A nice clean studio, definitely recommend! The handlebar on my bike was a bit wobbly though, even though I checked that it was properly clipped on both parts - it didn’t affect the ride too much but it’s also a bit of a safety issue for newer riders

    Hatha - 60 min

I have really enjoyed trying out classes at the Modo studios - this was my first time at the St.Claire studio. It has a very similar relaxed and welcoming, cozy vibe as the studio in Bloor West. For this Hatha class - I really enjoyed slow pace of the class and how long we held the poses to really feel the pose deeply. I also appreciated the way the class started in savasana and we returned to it mid practice to centre ourselves after a difficult balance flow and rest. It was nice that the instructor offered a flow in the practice for whoever wanted to add it in - and ended in seated poses helped us stretch out our body and not put too much pressure on balancing or down dogging. Overall a lovely practice :) thank you Modo!

    Icy Hot - Sauna/IceBath

The experience was great, so I’m rating 5 stars. However, the directions were confusing as there are multiple buildings, and there was a run club leaving right before the class as well. The instructor didn’t meet us inside as described in the class notes, and instead we met in the parking lot where the sauna and cold plunge tubs are. I would suggest providing more information in the notes of the class.

Great class!! Graeme was fun and clear with instructions, at the end he said something like “think back to when you were a child and were missing someone or something in your life, like an adult. You are that adult you needed now” I almost cried LOL, great class.
