About this studio

Classpass Blog says about STRONG "If you love Pilates, but also like bootcamps, this might be the perfect spot for you." Total-body posture fitness workouts. Each 50 minute class strengthens and stretches specific muscles to reverse tech-neck and slouching producing long, strong athletic posture and tone. Vertical Method is small-group training in a 3 class system: STRONG (signature class offering moderate intensity interval training), HIIT (higher intensity interval training) and RESTORE (low intensity, muscular release). Classes are taught by certified trainers to create athletic posture and work/life balance for your body.

How to prepare

Late arrivals are not permitted due to the intimate setting. First class? Going to be late? First time students must arrive early. Waitlisted classes will give away no-show reservations before class begins. Please do not interrupt a class in session. Some clients prefer wearing grip socks while exercising. No street shoes allowed in exercise area.

How to get there

Need to park a car? Sunday parking is free. Residential 2 hour street parking can be found on Webster between Broadway and Union on Vallejo or Green between Fillmore and Laguna.

Amazing class, great to work on posture while still pushing your core and working on underused muscles. Loved Yulia’s approach!

This style of class up against a pole can throw your body for a loop... I was very light-headed and had to take a break mid-way.
Response from the studio:
You had a difficult time in class. That is, unfortunately, not uncommon for individuals with Tech Posture Atrophy. Tight chest muscles, rounded shoulders and forward head (even the smallest degree) are all signs that intrinsic stabilizers in your torso (inner corset), hips and back area are in some state of atrophy. As I guided you during class, choose the low resistance band (yellow tubing) so stabilizers can regenerate. Choosing heavier resistance to get more 'bang for your ClassPass buck' is a bad choice. We create athletic posture. That requires an athletic mindset. There is no hack to becoming an athlete. It's a process :)

Her Russian accent can be tricky at first :) Next time, let her know that you're having trouble understanding her and Yulia will set you up at a station where you can see her quite easily.

Jennifer was very thorough through out the class and it was a great workout

Instructor was very nice but a bit low energy and needed to give more direct instructions. I didn’t feel I got as much out of this class this time.

Great class! A different type of workout than I’ve done before but I could definitely see it helping with posture over time. The instructor is very personable and takes the time to make sure everyone’s form is correct.

What is ClassPass?
