About this studio

Housed inside the Optimal Health Club located at 1315 Walnut Street, lower level. They provide a plethora of free weights, resistance bands, medicine balls, kettle bells, and more additional gadgets to better enhance your training experience. You'll have awesome music piped in over the speakers to help keep you pumped up and motivated. And if you wish, you can even bring your ipod (that's right) and feature your playlist for everyone during the workouts. A large mirror across the front of the studio will help you check your form and stay on point during your workouts. You can bring your own mats or use the ones that are provided there. Their outside classes are held outside at the beautiful Washington Square Park, meeting near the 7th and Walnut Street entrance.

How to prepare

When attending training sessions with them. Please arrive about 15 minutes early to be sure to have plenty of time to change and begin the sessions. For the inside sessions at 1315 Walnut Street, lower level, bring a towel, water. You can use the mats that are available there. When attending the outside sessions in Washington Square Park, they recommending you dress weather worthy, bring your own towel, mat, and extra water. If there is a restroom emergency, there is a Starbucks on the corner of 8th and Walnut.

How to get there

The 6 am sessions are held inside the Optimal Fitness Health Club 1315 Walnut Street (Juniper Street) lower level. Please be sure to sign in at the front desk upon arrival. Their 12 noon sessions are held outside at Washington Square Park (7th and Walnut) with exception in the case of rainy weather. During that time, sessions are cancelled.

Sgt Nate was awesome!! He was very informative with exercise and plays good music. I definitely plan on going back. That workout left me feeling a good sore after!

This was a great class. The instruction was very personalized, the circuits were challenging, and Sgt. Nate was very nice and a great motivator! I liked that it was cardio and strength together (a true whole body workout!) I highly recommend the class and I’ll be back!

Tough but great workout!
Lunch Time Express with Sgt.
Loved being outside in the sunshine. Sergeant Nate pushed us hard but, as he said, it was the workout doing the pushing, no drill sergeant mode necessary. Lots of squats and mountain climbers, push-ups and dips and recovery runs in between. Class flew by and I felt invigorated (and sore later, in a good way!)
