About this studio

Looking for fitness in Seminole Heights? The Seminole Heights Athletic Center (The SHAC) is the place for you. With a focus on safety and technique the SHACFit classes promote conditioning through constantly varied body weight movements including push ups, pull ups, squats, running, rowing and the use of kettlebells, dumbbells and medicine balls. The BARBELL program incorporates all the elements of the SHACFit program, but also includes Olympic weightlifting techniques. If you're looking for something a little different there are SHACFit Boxing classes on Fridays so you can channel your inner Rocky. We have recently added yoga classes on Tuesday and Thursday nights so come get FLEXY with us!!! 850-7020

How to prepare

You don't have to be fit to start this program. Take that first step and come try a SHACFit class. Workouts are for athletes of all ability levels. Water is available for purchase.

How to get there

The SHAC is located on the South end of the antique mall on the corner of Florida and Osborne at 4705 N Florida Ave, Tampa, Fl 33603. The entrance to the parking lot is off of Osborne and the entrance to The SHAC is located in the back of the building. Parking along Osborne is encouraged.

Awesome workout for all levels!
Great supportive environment!!
Fun class, people are super nice. Class was in a CrossFit type space with 4 other people and 1 instructor. Started with a light warm up followed by a demonstration of the split press move. The instructor Karen was great about making sure everyone had the correct form and helped me move up slowly in weights with each practice set. Then the 9 minute workout consisted of nonstop sets of cleans, split press, and burpees as many times as you could do in 9 min. Sounded a lot easier than it turned out to be. Overall really fun workout and super nice and welcoming people.
