About this studio

CrossFit can be intimidating! NewCov CrossFit has focused on developing individuals one person at a time! The trainers not only teach technique but help you achieve your potential while motivating you to accomplish your goals. CLASSES: Beginner class- for those who are new to Crossfit. CrossFit is a unique style of high intensity, cross-functional workouts. Workouts incorporate cardiovascular, weightlifting & bodyweight skills. The classes are not all instruction—there is a CrossFit workout at the end of class. Em's Fitcamp-Bootcamp style workout. Great cardio workout. 7 classes/day Next Bootcamp Weight Loss Challenge is June 4th. $1,000 grand prize! Nutrition Seminars & Meal Plan Regular- Experienced Crossfitters only. 6 months experience required. Yoga-New! Every Sunday 9-10am.

How to prepare

Comfortable gym clothes and a good pair of gym shoes are all you need. You may want to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated. We have shower facilities and offer complimentary towels. You supply the rest. They have ample parking. If their parking lot is full, please feel free to park across the street in the Builders Surplus parking lot. Park on the right hand side of the lot.

How to get there

They are conveniently located less than 2 miles from downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. Take I-71 South. Keep right at the fork to continue on I-471 S, follow signs for Newport KY. Take exit 5 toward KY-8/Newport/Bellevue. Merge onto Park Ave. Turn left onto Dave Cowens Dr. Turn left onto Washington Ave. Turn right onto E 3rd St. Turn left onto Saratoga St. Turn right onto E 6th St. Destination will be on the right

Beginner CrossFit with Emily
I've never done CrossFit before, but this class made me feel like the skills & techniques were within my reach. Emily was great! The only issue I had was it was difficult to hear her instructions at times.
Em's Fitcamp with Emily
You can tell Emily really cares about everyone who works out at NewCov. She knows little details about all the members and remembered me despite this only being my second class. She focuses a lot on form throughout the class, which is great. Definitely got a lot of reps in this class with little downtime, which I really appreciate. The perfect strength workout to complement whatever other classes youre taking!

I really liked this class! It was a small group but the teacher was really patient and helpful. Keep in mind this place may be a little confusing at first! If youre with the Fitcamp class, you go to the small room, not the big one!

Very encouraging and focused environment. LOTS of posture/form correction which I really appreciated. However, the workout portion only lasted for 12 minutes of the class whereas the rest of the time was learning. Just doesnt seem like a great use of time compared to a lot of the other class pass options. Emily was GREAT though and like I said, really focused on form and preventing injuries which is so important in CrossFit.

Beginner CrossFit with Emily
Emily was very informative on proper technique and form to ensure we were not injured. I felt very comfortable in the class even though we did some things in front of others. It was very encouraging! I would recommend to anyone wanting to try crossfit for the first time and wanting to do it right!

What is ClassPass?
