Lift is where muscle meets mindfulness. Lift offers yoga classes for all levels of practitioners along with our specialty "Lift" classes which combines cardiovascular conditioning and strength training. Their location, an old re-purposed church, is a unique and tranquil space where the magic happens. Come ready to sweat, stretch, and build community.

How to prepare

Try to arrive to class 15 minutes early, especially if it is your first time visiting the studio. Arriving early to class will enable you to get settled in and tour the studio prior to beginning class. What should I bring/wear? Restore: Comfortable athletic clothing, yoga mat and water bottle Flow: Comfortable athletic clothing, yoga mat and water bottle Lift: Comfortable athletic clothing, closed toe athletic sneakers, yoga mat and water bottle

How to get there

They are located in the former Primitive Baptist Church that is situated directly in the middle of their block of Madison Street. Traveling east to west on Madison it is on the right hand side of the street and can’t be missed. If you are walking from Calvert Street, they are directly beside the children’s park at the corner of Madison and Calvert. Their block on Madison Street is lined with parking meters that are available for you to use, along with 2 hour parking in the surrounding Mount Vernon neighborhood.

The DREAMIEST space! Alexa (the studio founder) is so personable and takes time to get to know you and your goals. I attended the Lift + Strength class not knowing what to expect! The format of this class is both challenging and relaxing. You wont be sorry!

One of my least favorite yoga classes Ive ever taken. Not a traditional flow class as advertised. Most positions were laying down, instructor seemed very inauthentic in speaking with class participants.

The class is unlike any I have taken incorporating yoga and working out with free weights. Very fun and tough at times. You start with yoga and get a thorough workout and then finish with yoga to calm your heart rate. Alexa is a great teacher and makes sure everyone's posture is correct during each exercise. The studio is an amazing renovated church and a great concept. Very unique to Baltimore and the workout scene. We will definitely be going back multiple times!

Alexa was so welcoming, informative, and took the time to break down the workout sequence in a manner that allows one to get the best quality reps in versus quantity of reps. Strategic and fun!!!!

I had an excellent experience taking this class! The studio is beautiful and the setting very relaxed and welcoming. Alexa was a great instructor, and the workout itself was cool in that it combined yoga sequences with strengthening and some aerobic exercise. Would definitely try it again!

Alexa is a great instructor! The location is so cool. It felt like the perfect environment for yoga in historic Baltimore. The class was challenging in the most positive of ways. Alexa made sure to really focus on setting a purpose for the session. This was my first time at the studio and I felt very comfortable and welcomed. Cant wait to go back.
