About this studio

If three words were to describe CW Taekwondo at Boston, it would be community, wellness and excellence. They foster an inclusive group that genuinely cares about each others’ well being. They pursue strong, flexible and healthy bodies through the practice of martial arts. They strive to stay abreast of the cutting edge of Taekwondo and propagate that knowledge to their beginner students and advanced competitors alike. The club holds classes for youths and adults of all levels at their location in Central Square in Cambridge, MA. They offer their taekwondo and Cardio Kickfit (formerly cardio kickboxing) programs directly through their school as well as through the occasional partner organization.

How to prepare

Loose, comfortable clothing such as one would wear for aerobics or running. We work out on a firm but pliable matted surface, so sneakers are not worn. Socks are permitted but not recommended. ​Classes often include a jump-roping component so students are encouraged to bring a jump rope. Students are also welcome to bring a towel or roll-up mat for the floor exercises at the end of class. There is a water cooler and many students bring their own water bottle.

Really loved Taras class
Cardio KickFit
This class is really great for anyone who wants to work on punching and kicking. You start the class with a cardio warmup. Then progressively build a series of moves that you do on the free standing soft bag. Then a strength series where we did abs and wall sits. No gloves or shoes necessary for the class. Though maybe wraps for the hands would be helpful as punching the bags was a little tough on the wrists.
