About this studio

Crank It Up is proud to be the only studio featuring the RealRyders AND TaeBo® Fitness in Long Beach, CA! Crank It Up features 36 1-hour classes a week! Some you can even CHOOSE how to spend your hour! You can choose to stay on the RealRyders in our indoor cycling class for 30 minutes and then move into our strength area for 30 minutes for a total body workout including rowing, weights, and TRX suspension... all lead by one of our amazing coaches or you can choose to stay in the cycle room for 1 hour of cycling or 1 hour of rowing, weights, and TRX suspension. Reserve online and create your class for the day! Classes are always different and changing. There will ALWAYS be a coach with you and you will never do the same workout twice! How to prepare

We are excited that you wish to come! Please make a reservation online. If you cannot come, we would appreciate that you cancel the reservation so that someone else can take your spot. We are here to make you sweat, so please bring a towel! If you forget your water, we do sell bottles at the front desk. Athletic shoes are fine for all classes, if you wish to wear cycling shoes, we use the SPD cleat. Feel free to bring your heart rate monitor (any ANT+ monitor will work with the systems) or you can rent one from the studio for $5.

45 Minute RealRyder Indoor Cycle with Aubree
I thought Id get my core more engaged as compared to a traditional spin bike. But the motion of the real Ryder just made me nauseous. Just not for me.

Thanks for the feedback! The RealRyder bikes are definitely challenging... Inwould love to set you up and give you a little tutorial/intro to the bike. It really makes a difference! With a few tips, you can manipulate the bike to your advantage totally!! Because of the extra work you have to put into the bike, your reward is that they burn 20%+ more calories PER MINUTE than a traditional stationary indoor cycling bike. I always say that anything that is worthwhile is worth the challenge. Come back, let me give you an intro(which I always suggest) and try it again! I think you will end up loving the bikes. :). IF not, we have 4 stationary traditional indoor cycling bikes that are awesome, too!! Thank you again for your feedback!!

Instructor was very upbeat and welcoming, and it was a challenging workout. I dont think the bikes here are for me - found it frustrating to really get going with the side to side movement of the bikes. Definitely worth a try though!

Thanks for the feedback! The RealRyder bikes are definitely challenging... at first they can manipulate you, but if you try them a time or two more, you can manipulate the bike to YOUR advantage!! Because of the extra work you have to put into the bike, your reward is that they burn 20%+ more calories PER MINUTE than a traditional stationary indoor cycling bike. Loved it! Kind of intimidated at first since everyone seemed to be a regular but only in terms of knowing which weights to grab. In general, everyone including the instructors were extremely nice and went out of their way to introduce themselves :)

Wow! What a great place! The instructors were both incredibly welcoming and helpful. Both took their time to show me around, adjust my bike, wrap my hands and proper techniques. I was very intimidated prior to going to class as I have never cycled or boxed and I almost canceled but Im glad I didnt. I got a great workout and it was very refreshing and fun. Will definitely be returning. Also, when you reserve a spot, it says to bring a mat but you dont need one.

What is ClassPass?

ClassPass is a new kind of gym membership that grants you access to thousands of different classes at studios and gyms in your city and around the world.
