About this studio

Beyond Fitness Pilates owner and licensed physical therapist Caryn Connarton is an expert in body conditioning and full-body health. This studio offers a bright space in which to strengthen your core and body! 617 576 0066

How to prepare

Wear comfortable workout clothes. Long shorts or pants work better than shorter shorts!

How to get there

The Studio is located at 29 Smith Place, but the address is misleading. To get to there, turn into the parking area for 725 Concord Avenue (there is never any reason to drive on Smith Place at all) and you will see our building to the rear of this parking area. The studio is located close to Fresh Pond and less than a mile from Alewife T station and Route 2. There is free parking in a strip of spaces adjacent to the building to the left of the building’s entrance.

Pilates Reformer Tower with Caryn
The studio is nice and clean, very neat. The equipments are in very good condition. The class was combination of reformer and tower. One half of class (3-4 people) started on reformer and the other half on tower, then switch off half way through the class. So the instructor is basically teaching two classes at once. A lot of times you are on your own to count; but others in the class seemed to be very familiar with the class so it wasn't hard to follow. I thought the pace was great; workout was challenging enough, though you can always make it more challenging. It was full body workout, we did variety of exercises. I would come back for the class

Betsy was a terrific instructor! This class really worked our arms and I have weak arms so this was really great. All around loved this barre class!
