    EXCEED: The Workout

Very good but odd mix of music—literally Eminem, zeppelin, 80s pop, today pop. Guess there’s something for everyone but I’d prefer more consistency, personally. Andrew is great, though!

    RIPPED ALL OVER

Loved the class setup and flow. 12 min on treadmill, 12 min on floor with bodyweight or dumbbell movements, 12 on treadmill, 12 on floor. Good music, great facility, but be prepared for lots of motivational speeches and “look within yourself and why you came here” talks.

I really appreciate how Ryan makes sure everyone in class is maintaining the correct form. The workouts are hard enough for your limbs to shake with the strain during the class but still leaves you feeling energized throughout the day.

    TABATA 25

Bod Mod (the studio) rocks because all classes are short but really effective so it gives me a full workout and is really approachable because even if I’m trying to find excuses not to work out thinking of a 25 minute class is still inviting and always gets me to go but I leave SWEATING and sore. This TABATA class is like HIIT on steroids because the hard work is only 20 seconds with 10 second breaks in between, really good class and would return

Excellent strength training class again. The exercises are always different, they switch up the equipment and even the format of the class- no speed rounds today- but always a good workout and Amanda pays attention to form.

    Barre Xtreme

Good class, great instructor, very challenging. The only thing I’ll say is that I do not recommend it if you are over 5’9. The bar is installed very low so you might have to contort yourself into some uncomfortable poses to get it done.

Fab is literally the only person who can make me do cardio. Is bouncing on the trampoline for 25 minutes hard, yes but Fab makes it so fun the 25 minutes go by really quickly! The stretch portion of the class is amazing I look forward to it all week and always leave feeling taller. This class is a must take.

Jay is by far the best instructor here. I've taken class with Alicia, Jenna, and Hugo- Jay was the friendliest, most motivational, and consistent with checking form. He's played the best music I've had to workout to, too.

Great class and instructor was good about explaining positions and giving corrections even with a big class. I’m so glad SLT finally caught up and joined classpass. Do not recommend for beginners as they move fast into and out of positions.

Lauren was awesome! The class is small, only 3 people in it so you definitely get enough attention on you in order to do the best work in class. This is kind of a strength training / barre / pilates class all in one. Super fun and I will be back!

Joseph’s breakfast club is the place to be in NYC on Saturdays at 10 am. It’s one of the few authentic experiences left in New York, and someday I’m sure we’ll all look back on it and feel grateful that we got the chance to be there and hang out with a mad German kickboxing champion who got us to push through our comfort zone and learn to attack life itself.

Great total body workout and the class goes by very fast. Mix of cardio and strength. Expect to do 5 min of cardio on a helix elliptical machine (2 times total throughout class), 5 min of cardio on a ski erg (2 times total throughout class), 5 min of strength work with body weight or weights 4 times.

    Total Body/ Core

This is the second time I’ve taken class here. First time was years ago and I remember it being really good. This time, it was really low impact and the instructor was low energy which isn’t necessarily bad, just not my style. Granted, there were only 2 people in class so it’s tough to be super pumped, I get it. Low impact is fine but was hoping for more core workout as it was marketed that way. Ended up spending 5 min or less on core which was disappointing.
