    Mighty Mate

Great studio and instructor. It's definitely a happy place to work out. He used to walk around and wipe down equipment during class and hasn't been lately. They should start that again. Doing a push up on a bosu staring at someone else's sweat is pretty gross.

Instructor: amazing, challenging and great music. Would love for her to give more feedback and correction to people that are in rows 3-5! Parking: I was there 15 min before class and parking was full. He directed me to another lot that was also full, and getting parking took a lot of time. I wish parking was more organized by the parking staff.

Courtney is top notch, a sweet burst of sunshine but one heck of a little aggressive beast in the gym!!! Amazing crazy music, hard combos, you'll leave drenched in sweat! I'd try taking level 1 before 2 to master the technique because it does take a second to get used to.

This is my third class so far at Set and Flow. I've found it to be a mixed bag depending on when you go and who the instructor is. Pia was fantastic and my favorite so far! She's really personable and relaxed whilst kicking your butt. If I had any complaints at all it would be maybe to have it just a few degrees warmer, but that's all I can think of.

Brice is the best - he makes an effort to know everyone’s name and then during class he gives everyone one on one attention. He challenges you but allows you to go at your own pace - great class, great guy. And he’s a total hottie as well - which can be a little distracting especially when he wears those tight shorts but by no means is that a complaint!

    Full Body (60 Minutes)

This was the best Barry's class I've been to. I REALLY liked the format of eight-minute treadmill intervals, each consisting of two-minute runs spaced out by recovery walks. That felt much more reasonable and attainable than the classes that involve 21-minute treadmill intervals, where it's so long that you just know it's impossible and don't try as hard. Also Allie's floor work was easy to understand and she gave the most individual attention I've had at Barry's - including pushing me to hit my fastest sprint pace (three times)!

    PLATEFIT - Vibration Training

For those like myself who have no idea what this is: Powerplate is essentially a large vibrating pad that you exercise on. Supposedly the benefit is that your body must work much harder to balance against the force and my extreme exhaustion seems to concur. The studio itself is very boutique and is probably the smallest I've ever seen - class size is probably 7 to 9 people maximum. My instructor was great and everything here is top notch, would definitely recommend and will be back for sure.

If I could rate this place 6 stars I would. Every aspect is 5+ stars from the concept, to the gym layout, to the instructors, to the energy and music. This was my first time at pure barre and it was fantastic. I'm really glad I took this class because I wanted more than a typical barre class, I really wanted to sweat. Absolutely love that the class is 45 mins and I left feeling exhausted in the best way. The weights make it super challenging but it's totally customizable to your level of fitness. Taryn was sweet and played amazing loud techno music which was great because most barre classes play soft generic pop. She didn't provide a ton of corrections but i didn't mind because i think she respects you're going at your own pace. A very tough but totally do-able and manageable class I can see myself doing regularly.

Ben is my favorite! Great, creative sequencing, and he cares about his students! He remembers what’s going on in your life if you’ve chatted, and has valuable insight to share. He helps spot attempts at new inversions throughout the flow (not just at the inversion period at the end of class). And the best part- occasionally he’ll come around and gently help you “deepen” any given pose by having you resist a movement or sink further into something. Feels amazing!!

Ok this class is HARD. To give you an idea of how difficult it is, the WARMUP is a series of 50 burpees. However, don’t let that discourage you. The instructors and fellow classmates are super supportive and encouraging no matter what your pace is. The instructor Cristiano was so helpful and made sure I had alternate workouts for some of the harder parts (pull ups). All in all, it was one of the most gruesomely amazing workouts I’ve had in a long time. FYI, I was the only female in the class. The only minor negative I had was that at 7am there was no parking (permit only until 8am). So give yourself extra time to circle around.

    Pre-hab/Re-hab

This class isn’t really a workout. It’s a supplement for your workouts to make sure you’re in correct form, and moving your body in the proper ways to prevent any injuries.
