I thoroughly enjoyed this class and the place! First, the space is absolutely gorgeous. When you come in, the room is bathed in cool, changing lights and cool music was playing. The class is small and we laid down on beanbag beds for the 35 minute session. They provide blankets, pillows and eye covers so you can fully relax. I'm already a huge fan of singing bowls so I enjoyed every minute of it and will be back.

This class was awesome!! I’m doing YTT through a school in Austin, TX and I struggle during their livestream and recorded classes because of a lack of cueing. Alex’s cues and sequencing was fantastic! I knows where to go or where to be and didn’t have to keep checking the screen. He was watching us work and gave verbal adjustments. He also talked us through feelings in the body, focus and how to sit in tough sections of the asana. I will be back?????????

Good challenging workout The format was 5 stations with 2 exercises at each station, which you did 2x for 45sec each and then rotated. Repeat. Lots of typical HIIT exercises, but fun and with the constant rotation it kept things interesting and moving. They didn’t have towels (that I saw) so bring your own

I really enjoyed this class. It’s a solid traditional mat Pilates class and the instructor gives good corrections and feedback. That being said, it is so hard not to deduct a star for how much this studio overpacks it’s classes! My favorite yoga studio in DC so far. It felt more ... I don't know, West Coast style? than a lot of the ones I've been to here. Focus seems to be more firmly on yoga as a rejuvenating and centering mind/body practice rather than a pose competition or a 'regular' workout class. The studio was very clean, and at least at the lunchtime class there was plenty of room to really stretch out and take up some space. This is my 10th or so class with Mayu. It went by super fast! I started taking her CPY1 class in July and it absolutely kicledy butt. I was dripping, no, raining sweat the first class and doubted if I could make it through within the first fifteen minutes (to be fair, the time slot I used to go to was right after a heated class and it was still sweltering by the time non-heated CPY1 came around!). I'm definitely ending 2019 stronger than I ever have been thanks to a combination of Mayu's CPY1 classes, pilates, and Barre3 in Georgetown. However, since the CPY1 class is always the same sequence, I can easily see my progress from then to now. Despite it being the same sequence, I'm still learning each class on how and where to improve and - I still sweat. Just less ? could not recommend more - Mayu gives excellent verbal cues and physical adjustments and guides with a calming, positive presence ??

I was sore the next day but can still go from sitting to standing without pain and whatnot. Really good instructor! The room did get a little too hot—and she asked us how the heat was, so it’s completely on me! Pay attention to how much you’re sweating b/c I was oblivious, and because I get migraines I ended up giving myself one like an idiot, purely because of dehydration.
