    Nice, bright space. Upbeat instructor who seemed to pay good attention to our form and gave cues for adjustments. Music played in the background, which I liked, but the pace of the class is good enough to not need the two to pair up. Class was six people and that made it great for individual attention. Felt like I got a good workout in the hour!

    Clearly cares about giving adjustments to everyone to make sure we're safe and doing the exercises effectively. Appreciate that she takes the time to model moves. A challenge after doing 3 beginner classes at this studio and many others elsewhere. First time I built up a moderate sweat doing reformer. Pinling is probably the best instructor here and has such a friendly demeanor :)

    MASK: Level 1/2 Pilates

    Carly is a great instructor, and has great variety in exercises. The woman who took her mask off last Monday was there again. She arrived late again and brought a water bottle. She did not take her mask off this time, but I watched and was ready to say something if she did it again. I hope you’ll remind her next time that she needs to go outside to remove her mask and that it should not be done during class so that others can focus versus being uncomfortable given her previous mask removal during class.     Really, really, really hard class—which is not a bad thing, but b/c it moved so quickly there wasn’t time to get modifications for things. Didn’t take off a star b/c that’s on me to flag down the instructor, but I didn’t feel like there was time. So if you’re coming off of an injury, I would not recommend this class (my injury was about 2.5 months ago). Other than that, this instructor was insanely good.     I was very impressed with the COVID safety precautions, including the spaces marked on the floor and smaller class sizes. Sarrina was very friendly and encouraging. The title is ACCURATE! you will sweat and your booty will be on fire! I was confused as to how this class works but they do a HIIT style workout for the first 30 minutes (the sweat) and then transition to barre exercises for the second half (P30 booty). I liked it and will return!

    Definitely a class for middle and advanced level yogis. Lots of options for inversions. The instructor did demonstrate a few positions but mostly just the lesser known ones. Class moved quickly. Good directions from instructor. I didn’t like that the lights were on full for most of class (just off for quick shavasana at end) The studio is nice and not far from either VA Square or Clarendon Metro. They have two restrooms for changing and cubbies for belongings. They must have some parking available in building as they have a form for license plate info.

    The workout was good and Elena was nice. Because I think solid core is often the gateway drug to this class for other class passers, be forewarned that this is a lot different in terms of class structure and environment. you will work muscles in a similar way and the machine is definitely similar. but it seems like there is less guidance and more expectation that you know what things are when it's time to do them. little to no individual correction or modifications are provided so it helps to attend the 101 class or be very comfortable with the moves you do in solidcore since the form does generally translate. Also I'm happy to say that despite having been disappointed in the past by the music, Elena had an awesome playlist that kept me going!
